Therapeutic yoga is appropriate for people of all ages and fitness
levels. The awareness-based approach respects and accommodates any
physical issues or limitations that are present. Whether your goal is to
work with a specific injury or issue, or to improve your overall health
and fitness, I can help you move towards your goals. Although the work
takes place on a physical plane, it finds its way into the spirit, and
people find that they are better able to deal with stress and anxiety,
and to respond to life's challenges with clarity instead of reacting
blindly.
Yoga therapy is an effective complement to massage therapy, osteopathy, naturopathy and chiropractic therapy.
In a yoga therapy session, we will discuss your issues and your goals in
order for me to have a clear understanding of what you want and how I
can best help you. I will then teach you some movements that will
address your specific needs. At the end of the session you will receive a
written program for you to practice at home. This homework will be an
important part of your progress.
